5-Day Desert Tour from Errachidia to Marrakech (2 Nights in Sahara)
Experience the magic of the Moroccan Sahara on this 5-day journey from Errachidia to Marrakech. Enjoy two unforgettable nights in the desert, explore authentic Berber culture, and travel through stunning valleys, gorges, and historic kasbahs.
Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Upon arrival at Errachidia airport, we will meet you and begin our journey towards the Sahara Desert. Drive along the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic views, passing through Erfoud before reaching Merzouga. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes and witness a magical sunset. Arrive at your desert camp, where you will have dinner and spend your first night under the stars.
Day 2: Explore Merzouga Desert (2nd Night in Desert Camp)
After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Merzouga area. Visit nomadic families, discover Khamlia village known for its traditional Gnawa music. In the afternoon, return to your desert camp or enjoy some free time in the dunes. Optional activities such as sandboarding, quad biking, or buggy rides can be arranged. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert camp.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, depart from the desert and head towards Rissani, a traditional town with a lively souk. Continue to Tinghir and visit the impressive Todra Gorges, where you will have time to walk through the canyon and enjoy the dramatic scenery. After lunch, we continue through the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and beautiful landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we drive through the Valley of Roses and continue to Skoura oasis, known for its palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Arrival in Ouarzazate, also called the “Hollywood of Africa.” Optional visit to Taourirt Kasbah or film studios. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Continue your journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking views along the way. Optional stop at an argan oil cooperative.
Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. End of the tour.
