Travel through the High Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate, visiting iconic sites such as Telouat Kasbah and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. Explore Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” with a stop at the famous Atlas Studios, then continue through the Rose Valley and Dades Valley. Enjoy an overnight stay in the Dades Gorge before heading to Tinghir and the Merzouga Desert for a camel trekking experience. Spend a magical night in Berber tents in the heart of the dunes. After breakfast, return to Marrakech via a different route, visiting Rissani Market, Tazarine, Nkob, the Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate.
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Transfer to Hotel
Your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Explore Marrakech
Enjoy an optional private guided tour of Marrakech with a certified local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, explore the Medina and its souks, and discover historical sites such as the Ben Youssef Madrasa, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. You may also choose to visit the Majorelle Gardens. Overnight stay in a riad in the Medina.
Day 3: Marrakech – Telouat – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, depart from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying panoramic views and Berber villages. Stop for lunch near Telouat and visit the historic Telouat Kasbah. Continue to the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Before reaching Ouarzazate, visit the Atlas Studios, where many famous films were shot. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Valley
After breakfast, head toward Tinghir, passing the Taourirt Kasbah. Travel through the Skoura palm grove and visit the beautiful Amridil Kasbah. Continue to the Rose Valley (Kelaat M’Gouna) for lunch. In the afternoon, explore the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” by 4×4, passing Berber villages such as Boutaghrar and meeting local nomads. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Valley.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, visit the spectacular Todra Gorges and take a walk through the palm groves of Tinghir. Continue via Touroug and Erfoud, known for fossils and marble. Arrive in Merzouga, where camels await for a trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy sunset in the desert, followed by dinner, traditional music, and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, travel to Rissani, visiting its traditional market and the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. Continue through Alnif, Tazarine, and the scenic Draa Valley before arriving in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, return to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop along the way to enjoy the landscapes and have lunch in a Berber village such as Taddart. Arrival in Marrakech and drop-off at your hotel.
