This unforgettable journey begins in Marrakech and takes you to the breathtaking Erg Chebbi Desert, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate. Along the way, visit the historic Telouat Kasbah and the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou. Discover Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” with a stop at the famous Atlas Studios. Continue through the Rose Valley and Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in the Dades Gorge. The adventure continues to Tinghir and the Merzouga Desert, where you will enjoy a camel trek and spend the night in traditional Berber tents in the heart of the dunes. After breakfast, return to Marrakech via a different route, passing through Rissani Market, Tazarine, Nkob, the Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate.
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Transfer to Riad
Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your riad located in the Medina, just a short walk from the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square. In the afternoon, you can explore the Medina at your own pace. In the evening, the square comes alive with storytellers, musicians, performers, and street food. Overnight in a riad.
Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouat – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
Departure at 8:30 AM toward Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Enjoy panoramic views and stop for photos of Berber villages along the way. Visit the Telouat Kasbah, then continue through the scenic Ounila Valley to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its role in many films. Continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel through the Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river and endless palm groves. Stop along the way to admire kasbahs and landscapes. After lunch in Alnif, continue to Merzouga. Upon arrival, switch to camels for a trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy sunset, dinner, traditional music, and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 4: Merzouga – Nomad Experience – Erg Chebbi
Start the day with sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, explore the surroundings of Erg Chebbi, including nomadic settlements where you can learn about their way of life. Visit Khamlia village to enjoy Gnawa music and tea. In the afternoon, relax at your accommodation or walk in the dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, visit Rissani and its traditional market (on market days). Continue to Erfoud to explore fossil workshops, then travel through palm groves to the spectacular Todra Gorges. Enjoy a walk through the canyon before heading to the Dades Valley. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy panoramic views of the Dades Valley. Travel along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the Rose Valley and Skoura palm grove. Visit Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate (optional visit to film studios). In the afternoon, return to Marrakech عبر the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrival in the evening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7: Guided Visit of Marrakech
Explore Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. Walk through the Medina and end at Jemaa el-Fna Square. Free time in the afternoon to explore the souks. Overnight in a riad.
Day 8: Marrakech – Airport Transfer
Transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule.
