We will start this tour from Fes the old imperial city of Morocco, goes through the middle Atlas mountains via Ifrane the Moroccan Switzeland, Azrou where we will explore the Cedar Forest, Midelt and Merzouga desert, tour around dunes of Erg Chebbi, Camel trekkin and overnight in the berber tent, Rissani markt, Oasis of palms. We will explore also Dades gorges, Dades Valley or Asif N’dades in Berber, Roses valley, Ouarzazat and the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Tizi N tichks pass and the end will be in Marrakech,
1st Day : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga
After we met at the place that we had agreed upon. We will star our tour to southeast through the middle Atlas via Ifrane the Moroccan Switzerland” then Azrou where we will have a stop at the famous cedar forest the largest in Morocco for to see and play with Barbary apes. From here we drive further south passing by several towns and you will get the opportunity to view nomads living in tents on the you will arrive in midelt for lunch, after lunch we will continue our way to cross the Atlas Mountains Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages until Errachidia the gate of the desert then Erfoud arriving to Merzouga desert to ride camel and enjoying the sunset and sand boarding from the top of the next highest dune, dinner and overnight in the camp with enjoying the drums under a clear sky full of stars.
2nd Day : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Overnight in berber tent
After breakfast in the riad you will start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people – originally slaves brought from Sudan -to experience their music and lifestyle. And nomad life. Overnight at the same camp, where you will have your dinner.
3rd Day : Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades valley
Early in the morning, you will wake up to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. After sunrise and breakfast in the camp, you’ll leave for Rissani we will visit the Markt in Rissani, a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Timbuctou in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled. Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco, after lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley.
4th Day : Dades Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley or Asif N’dades in Tamazight (berber). Towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continue to Ouarzazate via the Amridil Kasbah, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century, now the Kasbah is a house of many Glaoui people. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
5th Day : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech
After an early breakfast in the riad. We wtat our journey to reach the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot in this spectacular stage. Including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz… After visiting the kasbah we will be heading towards Marrakech, we will cross Tizi Ntichka pass. That with 2.260m is the highest point in our country. We´ll enjoy beautiful landscapes from the viewpoints on the way and make some stops to take pictures of the berber villages, at the end of the afternoon and check in to your riad within the Medina. Overnight at riad.
