Travel through the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, discover Ouarzazate, and journey along the breathtaking Draa Valley. Experience the magic of the Sahara in Merzouga with a camel trek and overnight in a desert camp, then return to Marrakech via the impressive Todra Gorges and Dades Valley.
Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
After meeting you at the agreed location in Marrakech, we begin our journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), with scenic stops along the way. We visit the Kasbah of Telouet, once the residence of the powerful Glaoui family, followed by lunch in the area. In the afternoon, we travel through the beautiful Ounila Valley to reach the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora
After breakfast, we head south towards Agdez, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We continue along the stunning Draa Valley, known for its endless palm groves and traditional Berber villages, until we reach Zagora. In the afternoon, we visit Tamgroute, known for its historic Quranic library, underground kasbah, and traditional pottery workshops. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad in Zagora.
Day 3: Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast, we leave Zagora and follow a scenic route through desert landscapes, passing Tazarine and Alnif. After lunch, we continue towards Merzouga via Rissani, a traditional market town. Upon arrival at the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will switch to camels and begin a trek into the desert. Enjoy a beautiful sunset before arriving at your desert camp. Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber tent under the stars.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir – Dades Valley
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel for breakfast. We continue our journey through Erfoud and the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. After lunch, we head towards Tinghir and visit the impressive Todra Gorges, known for their towering canyon walls. In the afternoon, we drive to the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we explore the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes and rock formations. We continue through the Valley of Roses and stop in Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for its rose products. Then we drive through the Skoura palm grove, visiting the historic Amridil Kasbah. Arrival in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, you will have the option to visit Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios in Ouarzazate. We then return to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying scenic views along the way. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. End of the tour.
