10-Day Morocco Tour from Casablanca

This 10-day journey takes you across some of Morocco’s most fascinating destinations. Starting in Casablanca, in the north of Morocco, you will visit Asilah, Chefchaouen, Meknes, and Fes. Then, you will travel southeast to experience a magical night in a Berber camp deep in the Sahara Desert. From there, the adventure continues through the High Atlas Mountains, passing Ouarzazate and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, before ending in Marrakech, where you will enjoy a guided exploration of the city with a local expert.

Day 1: Full Day Exploring Casablanca

Your tour begins with the discovery of Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic capital. During the day, you will visit some of its most important landmarks, including the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the United Nations Square, and the seaside Corniche. After your sightseeing tour, you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah

After breakfast, you will depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. There, you will visit the Hassan Tower and stroll through the picturesque Oudayas Kasbah. Afterwards, you will continue along the Atlantic coast to Asilah, a charming artistic town known for its annual mural festival. Most of the medina walls are beautifully decorated by famous artists from around the world. Your visit will include the Skalla Fortress, where you can enjoy wonderful views over the medina and the ocean. Overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 3: Asilah – Tangier – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, you will continue your journey to the beautiful blue town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. On the way, you will pass through Tangier, where you will visit the lovely Achakar Beach and the famous Hercules Cave. Then, you will drive through the scenic Rif Mountains until you reach Chefchaouen in the afternoon. A visit to this enchanting town is a must, as it offers unique charm and beauty, including Outa El Hammam Square and its delightful medina. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, you will depart for Volubilis to explore the impressive Roman ruins. You will also visit the holy town of Moulay Idriss, one of Morocco’s most important pilgrimage sites. Afterwards, continue to Meknes, where you will discover the medina, the Tomb of Moulay Ismail, the granaries, Sahrij Souani, Lahdim Square, and the grand Bab Mansour Gate. You will also have time to wander through the souks and relax at one of the square’s cafés. Later, continue to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad with breakfast included.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

After breakfast, you will meet your local guide for a full-day exploration of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. You will discover the hidden treasures of the ancient medina, wander through its famous souks, and explore its narrow cobbled streets lined with ancient mosques and green-glazed minarets. The tour also includes visits to some of the city’s most beautiful palaces and monuments, as well as the famous tannery and a ceramics cooperative, where you can see traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Overnight stay in a riad with breakfast included.

Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Merzouga Sahara Desert

After breakfast, you will head south toward Merzouga, passing through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou, with its cedar forests and beautiful mountain scenery. Crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Talghemt Pass, you will stop at several scenic spots for photos and enjoy lunch in Midelt. The journey then continues through the Ziz Valley, Errachidia, and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. There, you will rest briefly before riding camels into the deep desert. During the camel trek, you will enjoy a spectacular sunset over the dunes. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you at the desert camp, followed by a memorable night in the tents with Berber drum music under a clear, starry sky.

Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise and having breakfast at the camp, you will meet your driver and leave for Rissani, a traditional town known as the birthplace of Morocco’s ruling dynasty and an important caravan trading center in the past. You will visit its lively market before continuing to the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge, you will travel through the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic landscapes, sandcastles, and unusual rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers.” Overnight stay in a charming hotel overlooking the Dades Valley.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to the striking rock formations of the Dades Gorges. Then, you will travel through the Valley of Roses, Kalaat M’Gouna, and Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa.” There, you will stop at the Atlas Film Studios. Next, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and a filming location for movies such as Gladiator, Alexander, and Babel. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will continue your drive to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level. Arrival in Marrakech and drop-off at your accommodation.

Day 9: Guided Tour of Marrakech

After breakfast in your riad, you will begin your guided tour of Marrakech, the “Red City” of Morocco, founded in the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty. You will visit some of its most important historical and cultural landmarks, including the Saadian Tombs, the Majorelle Garden, and the Koutoubia Mosque. Your guide will also take you to Bahia Palace, the bustling souks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere of storytellers, musicians, snake charmers, and street performers. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 10: Marrakech – Airport

Transfer to the airport in Marrakech or Casablanca, depending on your departure arrangements. End of your 10-day Morocco tour from Casablanca.
